Our friends at Biking.ie are available to get you on your bike during your stay with us. They provide services such as mountain bike rentals, lessons and tours. With their Wicklow Hub located just 15 minutes from our door at the foothills of Djouce Mountain, we are happy to introduce you to the Biking.ie team who will endeavour to get you out on the hills during your Glendalough trip. Biking.ie can also organise your road bike adventure in Wicklow and our team would be happy to make the introduction.
The trails in Ballinastoe start off with quite a steep forest road climb but it’s only brief. Following each climbing section is a rewarding single track of which there are 8 in total. The total length of the trail network is 14km and it is possible to short cut, meaning you can repeat or cut out sections as you wish. The terrain is a real mixture but the overall feeling is a sense of flow and fun. There really is something for everyone here, the faster you go the more challenging it becomes. Ballinastoe is hands down one of the best examples of a purpose built trail centre and is a pleasure to ride all year round.
