Scenic Drives In Wicklow

If you are lucky enough to visit the Garden of Ireland, we do recommend getting out on foot and exploring all that this wonderful county has to offer. That being said, there are days when sitting in your car and cruising through the mountains is a much more relaxing way to spend the day.

Coming from Dublin to Glendalough, your most scenic drive is through the Sally Gap, a beautiful 27km drive straight across the Dublin and Wicklow mountains. On this drive you will take in some incredible views of the Guinness Lakes, Luggala mountain, Lough Tay and Djouce Woods. Please note, the Sally Gap can be very dangerous and sometimes inpassable during winter months so plan your trip in advance!
